EBS acquired this 7.1 acre site in partnership with an institutional capital partner. The development plan entailed removing the 20,000 sqft mezzanine from the existing building, and development of a new 45,000 sf industrial building in the overflow parking lot. Rivian made an offer to lease the existing building, so EBS pivoted, and terminated its entitlement plans. Rivian invested over $50,000,000 in high end tenant improvements, and now operates its world wide battery research and development operations out of the building. The project was sold to an institution investor once Rivian occupied.
